Through playful rhyming verses and rhythmic storytelling, young readers follow Great Pyrenees, Koyo, the farm's dedicated guardian, as she forms an unlikely bond with cattle dog, Earl, her new lieutenant, who teaches valuable lessons about acceptance, responsibility, and the true meaning of friendship.

Jolene’s BIG Day Out!

Jolene is a restless little chicken who dreams of adventures beyond the barnyard. While Glenn Acres is the only home she's ever known, her heart yearns for the big, beautiful world out yonder. When a wild hare named Dagnabbit hops into her life, Jolene seizes her chance for a great escape! Together, this unlikely pair explores the wonders of nearby Dripping Springs—cheering at the ballgame, enjoying ice cream at Founders Day Festival, and swinging on swings at the park. But as the sun begins to set on their BIG day out, Jolene discovers something unexpected: the place she couldn't wait to leave is the very place her heart calls home.

About the author.

I'm Christine Glenn (a.k.a. Ma Glenn), a poet, actor, and storyteller with a heart full of whimsy and a farmyard full of friends! I live in the Central Texas countryside with my husband David (Pa Glenn), our clucking chickens, playful pups, barn cat crew, and buzzing bees, I'm inspired every day by the wonder of the natural world.

That inspiration overflows onto the pages of The BIG Adventures of the Glenn Acres Gang, a series of rhyming fables that feature the lovable animals who call this magical barnyard home, learning valuable lessons and having BIG adventures under the loving care of Ma and Pa Glenn.

My first two tales are Clyde's BIG Book of BRAVE and Sue the Roo Goes on Strike! I hope they'll whisk your child away to a world where farm animals become heroes, and even the smallest creatures can have the biggest adventures!

About the illustrator

Oli Wonder, a talented artist and illustrator, hails from Ternopil, Ukraine. Since childhood, Oli has been captivated by the worlds found in books and fueled by a passion for drawing. This early love blossomed into a fulfilling career focused on children's book illustration. Oli finds immense joy in the creative process; collaborating with amazing authors and knowing that her illustrations bring delight and spark imaginations in young readers.
